NVIDIA aimed to make up for its losses in the Chinese AI market by introducing the B30A GPU to the country. But a recent U.S. government ruling banning the export of Blackwell series devices to China will disrupt CEO Jensen Huang’s plans.

President Donald Trump expressed his determination to block a rival country from obtaining advanced technologies developed by US companies, mentioning the Blackwell series in particular and confirming that he has not approved any exports.

Trump’s speeches are likely causing challenges for NVIDIA as it aims to re-enter the Chinese market for increased revenue. China’s resistance to the company’s chips, due to concerns about surveillance and tracking, is also hindering this effort alongside US restrictions.

NVIDIA’s most cutting-edge chips will only be available in the United States.

Trump said during the interview that he believes only American consumers and companies should be able to use NVIDIA’s most advanced chips, emphasizing that they do not provide these chips to others.

The President of the United States can impose new restrictions on China and prevent the export of hardware to other countries, highlighting the importance of the artificial intelligence sector for the country’s strategic interests, particularly in supporting companies developing general artificial intelligence (AGI).

Investments in the sector, with NVIDIA playing a key role, have been the main driver of the country’s economic growth, making up 95% of the growth in the first half of 2025, according to economist Jason Furman from Harvard University.

Many are concerned that the highly anticipated “bubble bull” could cause a significant economic downturn in the United States. Despite the Chinese market remaining inaccessible to major corporations, an agreement has been reached to supply over 260,000 GPUs with Blackwell technology to partners in South Korea.
