The controversial game “kontinua”: Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection is not functional on PS5, leading Sony to refund customers due to numerous issues.
The Japanese company, which typically does not give refunds for downloaded games on PSN, is making a special case for this game because of the technical issues users have reported.

What are the issues with Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection?
The collection of nearly twelve traditional games from the series was launched on October 30 by developer Digital Eclipse, disappointing fans who had high hopes.
The main issue that receives the most criticism is the significant delay in response time for commands, also referred to as input lag. This gap between pressing a button and the corresponding action appearing on the screen is particularly crucial in competitive fighting games, where every move matters.
Specialized assessments confirm sluggish performance, with the PS4 and PS5 editions showing the poorest outcomes, experiencing latency exceeding 108 milliseconds.
The PC version was the most responsive, with approximately 22 milliseconds, while no notable performance variations were found among the games in the same collection.
Other company setbacks and their reaction
Players encounter issues with audio failures and a malfunctioning online game system, alongside latency. These factors have led to negative feedback from users on the Steam platform.
Digital Eclipse, the developer, made a public statement through Stephen Frost, the company’s spokesperson, on social media platform X (previously known as Twitter), announcing that the team is currently focusing on resolving issues.
An update is expected on Tuesday (4) with the initial repairs, focusing on addressing the slow response of the buttons as a priority.

Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection is not functional on PS5, and Sony is refunding the money.
The compilation, using both its own emulators and existing software, appears to have faced challenges in adapting to current gaming consoles, particularly the PlayStation platforms.
The cause of additional delay on these platforms is still unknown. If the solutions do not work for all users, dissatisfied players have been requesting a refund instead.
