Kingston recently introduced a new high-capacity choice for its Fury Renegade G5 line of PCIe 5.0 SSDs. The high-performance NVMe drives originally came in sizes up to 4TB, but now Kingston has added an 8TB option.
The new Fury Renegade G5 provides speeds of up to 14,800MB/s for reading and 14,000MB/s for writing, falling short of the fastest drives at 14.9GB/s. However, most users may not notice the difference at such high data transfer rates.

The increased storage capacity in the new version does not compromise the random performance of the 4TB model, achieving up to 2.2 million IOPS for both read and write operations.
“Whether it’s for work or leisure, users require increased power and storage capacity,” stated Keith Schimmenti from Kingston. “We are pleased that the new 8TB Kingston Fury Renegade G5 SSD can cater to the needs of high-performance users and hardware enthusiasts.”

The company states that the drive is suitable for video editing, 3D rendering, and gaming on a computer.
The 8TB Fury Renegade G5 is already listed on Kingston’s website in Brazil.
The latest Fury Renegade G5 capability feature can now be found on Kingston’s Brazilian website, priced at R$ 12,964.90, with a 30-day delivery timeframe provided by the company.

Buying from the manufacturer is typically not the most cost-effective choice, but the higher-capacity drive is not available at partner stores at the moment. The 1TB and 4TB models are currently on sale at Pichau for R$1,400 and R$4,200, respectively.
Kingston offers a five-year warranty for this product range, including complimentary technical assistance during that time.
