Anbernic gained notice earlier this month when it announced plans to price its new Android-based laptop for retro game emulation, RG DS, at under $100, particularly focusing on Nintendo DS games. Despite keeping product specifics under wraps, details have now surfaced online.

The Joey’s Retro Handhelds channel obtained visuals revealing details on the specifications, connections, and ports of the new laptop. As per the images, the Anbernic RG DS may feature a Rockchip RK3568 processor with four cores of Cortex-A55 running at 2GHz, accompanied by a Mali-G52 integrated GPU.

It is a capable processor for running older games through Android emulation, but it may disappoint those who were hoping for a MediaTek or Unisoc processor, which have been used in other laptops by the company.

The memory section of the device should include 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It has a TF card slot for up to 2TB expansion and a 4,000mAh battery for 6 hours of usage.

Anbernic RG DS will provide two identical screens.

Laptops priced under $100 are now available to provide emulation of old games on Android, such as the RG DS, which offers two screens to enhance the Nintendo DS and 3DS gaming experience while maintaining an affordable price point.

We do not have a set date for the worldwide launch of Anbernic RG DS yet, but with this leak, the release should be soon.
