Overclockers are pushing the boundaries of DDR5 memory performance, achieving a new world record speed of 13,153MT/s.

The overclocker successfully pushed the Corsair 24GB DDR5 module to a speed of 6,576.8MHz, surpassing the previous record of 13.01MT/s achieved by German sergmann. This suggests that further improvements and new records may be on the horizon.

To achieve optimal data transfer speed, saltycroissant installed the component in a Gigabyte’s Z890 AORUS Tachyon Ice motherboard. The processor ran at 1.627.25MHz for both its P-Cores and E-Cores, and liquid nitrogen was employed for cooling.

This particular setup is clearly intended for breaking records rather than being practical for daily use. It’s important to note that the DDR5 memory timings were set at 68-127-127-127 CR2T.

DDR5 overclocking is becoming more common.

The number obtained by saltycroissant is not directly higher than the record set by sergmann in mid-October.

The 13,000MT/s limit was exceeded in the HWBot by bullshooter, followed by sergmann submitting 13,010MT/s. Hicookie and CENS then surpassed this record, with jumpycroissant recently reaching the highest speed.

The competition for achieving the highest overclock speeds with DDR5 RAM is intense among enthusiasts, suggesting that we can expect even more impressive results soon. The key question is whether they will reach speeds close to 14,000MT/s before DDR6 becomes more common.
