Alright, so we gave our 2 cents about how we rank the Microsoft Xbox Consoles. Now we decided to rank the Playstation systems and consoles as well.
5.) Playstation 5
The reason PlayStation is last on the list right now is because of how new the console is! It is only around 2 years old right now. The Current gen launch has
not been the greatest, with hard-to-get systems and lack of availability right now, but non less, the games for it right now still have been one of the best
so far for current gen consoles! Some big-name games to name are Horizon Forbidden west, Ratchet, and Clank: A Rift Apart, and Demon Souls Remake! But to the future
you have the new God Of War Ragnorak coming out in the next few months and spiderman 2 coming out next year!
4.) Playstation 3
The PS3 was a big disaster in video game console sales prior to its crazy launch. The PlayStation 3 launched at $599, immediately alienating a huge number of consumers. Also, the ps3 was a pain to develop, with the hardware not being easy to use or mess with when making video games! But overall though there were some great games to come out for the ps3, Like The Last of Us, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2, God of war, and much more!
3.) Playstation 1
Coming in third place is the PlayStation brand itself, the PS1. It’s crazy to imagine now, but so much of the PS1 was amazing when it first came out.
It was the beginning of the CD era of video games, and helped establish Sony as a huge major force in the industry of video games and consoles!
The PS1 was the first console to ship over 100 million units worldwide! which is a crazy number at the time! The games that came out at this point were the start of some of the best! Like Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy, and much more!
2.) Playstation 4
The ps4 will prob be the best-selling console of all time! The ps4 most likely had the best lineup of games among all consoles of that generation! Also only has to be
$399 at the time was a great price point for it as well! The sales have more than doubled than those of the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch! It had some of the best games like God of War, Spiderman Ps4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4 and so much more!! Ps4 is prob one of the best consoles in history!!
1.) Playstation 2
The PS2 has taken over 3800 games and over 1.5 billion copies of them sold, alongside sales of over 155 million units of the console! Making it the best-selling console of all time!!
The PS2 had some of the best games of all time like Resident Evil, Persona 4, Kingdom hearts, God of War, Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater, Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, and much more!
the software was great at the time, where they had console backward compatibility, and even including a DVD player also was unheard of for a console. So this is why the Playstation 2 is number 1 on this list!
